  • 2012 Conference Planning Meeting

    We’ve scheduled our first planning meeting for Thursday, February 23rd, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Lutheran Social Services, 8305 Cross Park Dr. in Austin. The number to LSS is 512-459-1000. 

    The goals of this first meeting are to look at any workshop topic ideas and brainstorm ideas for the two ethics workshops. We will also look at the evaluations and comments from the 2011 conference, the budget, and sponsorship ideas.

  • Adoption Caucus

    The Adoption Caucus will meet on Monday, April 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lutheran Social Services in Austin. Gail Gonzales from DFPS will attend the caucus to help clarify some policy issues that were brought up at the last caucus. We will also work to frame the message that we need to deliver to DFPS at the May stakeholders meeting (date TBD) and to the Legislature.

  • Membership Committee Meeting

    The next Membership Committee meeting will be on Thursday, April 19, at 10 a.m. I will confirm the location in a future email.

    We will follow up on any contacts made with possible recruits, and which of those might attend the May 1st Membership meeting in Austin. We will also take a look at talking points, benefits, etc.,  and begin a  discussion of dues structure.
