The Texas Center for Child and Family Studies (an affiliate of the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services) invites you to join us for the 2018 Texas Child Care Administrators Conference! Mark your calendars now for October 1-3, 2018, in Austin, Texas.

This year’s theme, Children, Youth & Families - the Heart of Texas, reflects our deep commitment to caring for vulnerable Texans and creating the opportunities that allow them to thrive. Our workshops and speakers will provide valuable information on delivering the most innovative and effective, trauma-informed services for children, youth, and families in communities across Texas. And where better to gather together and dive deeply into the the heart of our work than deep in the heart of Texas?

Join friends, colleagues, and leaders in the field as we come together to grow as a community, learn about evolving practice, get up to date on new federal and state policies, and explore opportunities for sharing and collaboration within our world of child welfare.

Each year, we strive to make the Texas Child Care Administrators Conference (TCCAC) better than last, and it has become the largest gathering of its kind in Texas. In 2017, TCCAC connected over 900 private and public child welfare professionals with the latest information and training on effectively delivering quality care to the children and families they serve. It is a great opportunity to network, learn, and it is your one-stop-shop for obtaining 15 hours of continuing education for Licensed Child Care Administrators (LCCA and LCPAA), Social Work (SW), and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC).

We look forward to seeing you in Austin!

Keynote Speaker

Josh Shipp

Every Kid Is One Caring Adult Away from Being a Success Story

Josh was a foster kid, class clown, a rebel without a clue, a trouble maker. He was written off, kicked out, and every adult’s worst nightmare. Until one caring adult changed everything. In his keynote presentation, we will learn from his wealth of experience of working teens, parents, and educators from every walk of life. This program is part inspirational “keep at it” and part practical seminar “here’s exactly what to do.

Josh Shipp is a best-selling author, global youth empowerment expert, and acclaimed speaker. A former at-risk foster kid turned youth advocate, he is renowned for his documentary TV series (A&E), that followed his ground-breaking work with teens.

His ultimate goal is to help as many young people as possible. He trains other speakers through Youth Speaker University and his online mentoring program One Caring Adult has a world-wide reach.
