Full Membership

Nonprofit and for-profit organizations that provide direct services to children and families in Texas and support TACFS's mission and code of ethics are eligible for full membership.

Full Member agencies receive all of the following services and benefits:

Networking and Collaboration

  • Opportunities to network with industry peers and assume leadership roles in statewide forums
  • Small work group involvement that hones in on relevant, critical subject matter in child welfare
  • Voting for TACFS Board of Directors nominees that serve on the TACFS and Texas Center Boards of Directors, and serve as Committee chairs (non-profit organizations only)

Education and Training

  • Access to quarterly in-person symposiums and consortiums led by our Texas Center of Child and Family Studies' staff
  • Invitations to participate in ad-hoc webinars that address pertinent topics 
  • Annual opportunities to learn from key stakeholders from all spectrums of child welfare at our annual conference
  • Opportunity to earn 15 pre-approved CEUs for LCPAA, LCCA, LSW and LPC license types at our annual conference

Critical Involvement at the Texas Legislature 

  • Advocacy and lobbying on behalf of child and family service agencies before the Texas legislature and administrative and regulatory agencies, with continued emphasis on promoting policy supporting our members and their missions
  • Representation at key state, legislative, and volunteer committees involved in regulation, policy making, and service delivery to children and families

Administrative Support
  • Assistance with fund resources and fund development
  • Inclusion in our website's network's public facing directory 
  • Salary surveys, free job listings on our Career Center page, and other resources to help keep members current on trends in support of attracting the best possible employees
  • Assistance in contacting state agencies to get questions answered and problems resolved

  • Access to valuable and timely information regarding Texas and U.S. legislative processes, including state department budgets and legislation impacting member operations
  • Constant comprehensive information on national and local issues related to children and families
